Building a culture of testing and experimenting

It's still early days for AI, experiment more to discover what works for your unique organization

At AdQuick, we're fully bought in to AI to help your company best. We not only build AI into our products and tools like our Creative Library, we speak at industry events, share thoughts on our podcast, contribute to trades, and try to lead the ads and marketing sector on this topic.

Tools are of course important, but without the right mindset they might sit unused or never achieving their potential.

As a tech firm working in a creative space, we thought we'd share a few ideas to help develop a culture that's poised to best take advantage of this innovation.

Build a culture of experimentation Treat new tools and AI models as open areas to test and tinker. Give teams the freedom to run small experiments, track results, and socialize learnings. Celebrate wins, learn from what doesn't work without judgement and remember everyone is still learning, it's early days.

Encourage team input to your tech stack When marketers and operators have input into the tools they’ll actually use, adoption improves, and so does innovation. This also ensures you’re not purely chasing trends from management that's too senior and removed from daily work, but implementing what actually solves real problems.

Hire and reward for curiosity People who naturally ask “what if we tried this” are the ones who uncover surprising use cases or clever efficiencies (not just from AI, but everything else too). Build teams made up of people who embody an ethos of curiosity.

Schedule time for internal demos Host regular show-and-tells where team members share how they’re using AI or automation in their workflow. These informal exchanges surface practical uses, inspire others, and spread innovation organically. I've personally found these really helpful particularly hearing from people in different areas of the business.

Make it easy to try new things If someone has to fill out seven page forms or get three approvals to test a new AI plugin or workflow, it might never happen. Simplify the process so exploration is fast, safe, and encouraged within clear guardrails.
